PART II
“GO AND INSTIL INTO HEARTS
THE ABUNDANCE OF MY HEART”
Jesus loves humanity. Jesus sees
its miserable state and he knows the dangers that threaten it. His Heart is all
burning with love and pain. Jesus is not a distant God, but a God who taken
flesh! He wants to intervene, to inform, to save!
Here is the great Truth, peculiar
to Christianity. The Christian, confronted with pain, does not fall in the
desperation of one who exclaims:
“Man is deaf, and God is far
away!” (Victor Hugo, in “Légende des
Siècles”)
1.
PREPARATION
Alexandrina is an instrument which
Jesus uses to communicate with humanity. But Jesus must utilize this instrument,
and preparation is necessary. This will be done by Jesus, but He also wants
Alexandrina’s contribution.
Jesus says to her:
“O beautiful, O charming, O highest
mission, this mission to souls! But I could do nothing, dear daughter, without
your assent, your generosity, your love. How much the world owes you, how much
souls owe you!” S (24-1-47)
1 - Jesus warns her about the
great task and gives indications
I created you for great things. (...)
I created you for souls.” S (5-8-49)
Alexandrina will save souls by
communicating the messages that Jesus wants to give to humanity, and by her
entire life, consumed in a burning oblation of love. But, so that the messages
that Jesus wants to transmit to humanity through Alexandrina do not fall on deaf
ears, two things are necessary, beyond Alexandrina’s willingness:
a) that they reach the greatest
possible number of souls.
Can Alexandrina, imprisoned on
her bed with paralysis, between the 4 walls of her small room, with the 2nd
class, communicate with many souls?
b) that such messages have the
character of credibility.
Jesus assures her:
I will make it so that thirsty
(souls)
come to you to receive grace, peace,
love… S (12-8-49)
And how does Jesus arrange this?
People are attracted by
extraordinary phenomena, by situations that are beyond the normal course of life
on this earth…
Alexandrina has extraordinary
mystical gifts, her crucifixion, her total fast.
These things always attract people
because they clearly reveal a transcendent intervention, which gave the messages
that issued from her lips that character of credibility which was essential if
it was to be effective.
I have you in this bed of pain, and
on the cross, so that those who visit you have the guarantee of heaven S (29-4-
49)
So here is the price that Alexandrina must pay, the price paid by so many
victim-souls spread throughout the earth, throughout the centuries, to be worthy
messenger of Jesus and thus to save souls!
“Bed of pain and the cross”: but
this is not enough!
The world is full of pains, of
crosses, that are the daily food offered by all the world’s organs of
communication!
The wonderful element, that
witness to the truly supernatural, is Bd Alexandrina’s smile, a smile
that remains even in the most atrociously painful situations, in all these three
fields: physical, moral, spiritual!
This smile is always commended to
her by Jesus.
Among his frequent exhortations in
this direction, we
quote four.
I want your eyes and your lips to
smile through all your suffering. S (13-5-49)
Offer Me your pain hidden in smiles
and love. S (9-12-49)
Smile through pain so that I can
smile when I judge sinners. S (8-12-50)
Your smile, in so much pain, makes
reparation to my eternal Father. S (13-11-53)
And how does Alexandrina manage to
confront all the proofs with the smile? With love! Her love of Jesus, her
love of souls to be saved with her pain of reparation. She will go on to say:
Jesus, may my joy be the cross, my
sweetness the pain: everything in You, and for You! S (30-1-48)
And Jesus encourages her:
Suffer smiling, suffer in silence. Suffer and love; love and fight. S (28-1-49)
Our holy martyr herself affirms,
in her penultimate diary:
To stem pain You only have to staunch
the flow of love. S (26-8-55)
2 – The time has come to prepare
for a mystical identification with Jesus
At the beginning of the
preparation Jesus had said to her:
I want everything that is Mine to be
transparent in you.
I want your looks to have My purity,
your lips to have the sweetness of My smile, your heart to have the tenderness,
and the charity and the love which Mine has.
In short, I want you to resemble Me
in everything. S (13-6-47)
And how does this young girl,
impassioned with love, manage to obey her beloved? Jesus will say to her:
When you ask souls to open their
doors to Christ, it is Christ in you that opens His heart to them, it is Christ
who speaks with goodness and sweetness to them, it is Christ who smiles at them
and looks at them with attractive and charming glances and invites them to
Heaven: it is Christ in all your life. S (14-11-47)
We have reached the transforming
union and Jesus expresses it most beautifully:
I am the light of your eyes, the
movement of your lips, the love and Lord of your heart. S (3-9-48)
All your senses are transparent with
tenderness, sweetness, peace and love. In short: all my life, everything that is
of God. S (3-2-50)
O wonder of wonders! It is Christ
living for you, Christ speaking for you, it is Christ loving in you: it is
Christ transformed into you. S (24-11-50)
This is why Alexandrina can truly
expand on what she drank from the divine source!
My daughter, strong soul, heart of
fire! You are strong with my strength, ablaze with my Heart, incandescant with
my divine love; transmit this strength, radiate this fire!
I want you to be light, I want you to make light. S (4-10-47)
I was the light, I was the sun; and
through you, in your life, I continue to be the light that shines, the sun that
heats.
I give myself to souls through you.
The fire that rises from this altar
is the fire of your pain, the fire of your sacrifice. S (23-6-50)
These are examples of
Alexandrina’s incandescent effusions. And others follow, producing fruits.
Jesus says her:
The soul that loves radiates
and lets itself shine through the force of the love with which it loves. The
fire, when it catches, always gives signs of its presence.
Love Me, let me burn, take my fire to
souls, my divine love! S (9-7-48)
The fire and love that you have
received to give to souls is the fire of the Holy Spirit’s love.
It is given to them by your lips, it
is given them by your manner, it will be spread among them as health-giving
food. S (5-7-46)
